CAS is not only one of the CORE components of DP but it also teaches the students some vital values which go a long way in molding and shaping their personalities. Choithram International instills these values in its students right from the start of their education. Being an IB school, CI follows the IB learner profiles closely, one of which is being reflective. Hence, along with the activities in which students provide service to the society, they are taught how to reflect upon it.

After a session with the teachers on how to write a proper service reflection, the DP students, in groups of three were allotted a class in MYP. To test their knowledge, the DP students took sessions for the MYP learners on what is a service reflection, its importance and the proper procedure to write it. The presentation included a step by step process to write suitable service reflection.

The whole exercise not only revived the sense of responsibility in DP1 students towards their juniors but also would be helpful for the MYP students to grow the attribute of being reflective and will be of immense use for them in their future endeavors.
