Since its inception, Choithram International has been a trend-setter in the field of education. Under the guidance of our enthusiastic and diligent Head of School, Mr. Dilip Vasu, the students of CI came together to host the third edition of its own Model United Nations – CIMUN 2016.

CIMUN 2016 proved to be a perfect intellectual platform for students. The event aimed to develop confidence in being a leader, as well as working with others, to create a stronger awareness of global issues and deliberate on their solutions.
The three day gala was an amalgamation of dedication, devotion, deliberation, collaboration, cooperation, learning and gaining. The Opening Ceremony had Ms. Archana Chitnis,Hon'ble State Minister of Women and Child Development, and the Keynote Speaker, Ms. Debadutta Upadhyaya - renowned lady entrepreneur and founder of Timesavers.com.  The students were inspired by the words of Ms. Chitnis and Ms. Upadhayaya, who encouraged everyone to think positive and forge ahead in life. Ms. Upadhyaya further suggested  of how best young people can manage an existing need in the market with their own skill sets.
Ms. Chitnis gave a thought-provoking speech, wherein she urged the young audience to consider Earth, Water and Air as the most valuable elements in their life. Ma'am's inspirational speech was followed by a short, lighthearted, Bollywood mimicry performance by well-known comedian Mr. Ankit Sisodiya.

CIMUN 2016 provided students an opportunity to embark on an intriguing learning journey, which continued all three days. The committee discussions saw the delegates deeply involved in their respective global agendas.
The UN Security Council (UNSC)  deliberated on Reforms in the SC, the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) worked on resolving Human Rights Abuse in Regions of Armed Conflict, the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs (UNCND) targeted the agenda: Exposure of Juveniles and Prenatal-Stage Infants to Narcotics.
