CAS First Interview
CAS is an important core element of IBDP as is the general conception, but CAS is something more than that. It is an opportunity for an IB student to learn something more that isn't found in the books, to experience something beyond the school campus. CAS brings our true personality out and it tells us what all we can actually do. CAS is made up of three elements : Creativity, Action and Service. It extends over the full two years of Diploma Programme. The CAS coordinator plays a pivotal role in developing the understanding and necessity of CAS during the tenure of Diploma Programme. In this venture, our first CAS interview was a ceremonial induction into CAS, , our understanding of CAS and what all we've done and are planning to do further under CAS.
In our interview we had to show the CAS forms which were supposed to be filled by us. There were three forms to be filled, CAS Proposal form, CAS Reflection form and Supervisor Evaluation Form. My interviewer Deepshree Ma'am, made my understanding on CAS more clear, and also guided how I would be performing my CAS and its elements in these two years. That first CAS interview, was very beneficial for all of us, as we were new to DP, and we wanted someone to clear out our doubts regarding the different elements of DP, specially CAS.
I hope my journey in DP and my outcomes of CAS will prove to be lifelong enriching experiences.
