CAS Assembly

The Assembly held on 27th September,2016 by the DP-1 students was a portrayal of growing awareness among young generation about preserving our historical sites and heritage structures. The assembly started off with an introduction, stating the issue of what people do and pollute to disintegrate our historical places. Here, in Indore it was mostly observed in Lal Bagh and Rajwada palace when these students initiated a CAS activity wherein they went to these heritage sites and made sure to aware people about this rising concern by showing them the measures need to be taken to ensure the cleanliness and showing them how important these places are in our lives. Students also discussed the slogan called 'Tourism for all’which was about how, the tourists who are physically impaired or deaf and dumb could have the opportunity to gain equal knowledge as others and could understand the same as others do when they take up any tour to any heritage site. Further they also discussed the steps taken by different museums or heritage sites to involve all of them equally which included special manuscripts being showcased which included braille and other such sensory information for these special people.

The song performed echoed the feelings and sentiments of young students towards preservation of their heritage. The pledge everyone present took, will keep reminding us that we all need to shoulder our responsibilities towards these artefacts and monuments, then only they can we bequeath our heritage to the generations to come.
