TOK Assembly

Theory Of Knowledge is one of the core component of IB. To get a better understanding about TOK our seniors participated in TOK assembly held on 2nd august 2016. DP-2 students were given a statement to analyze and ponder upon. They were divided into 5 groups. Each group had to present their discussion in a creative manner. The most important component of each presentation was the KNOWLEDGE QUESTION. By studying the given statement each group framed a knowledge question which they gained from it. Every issue has underlying knowledge questions. As per the TOK subject guide provided by IB, knowledge questions are sometimes difficult to formulate precisely but they often lurk underneath popular and often controversial subjects. Few interesting presentations included a skit representing the characters from adult and old age life and how they related their entire life to that statement, and an enactment of a professional panel discussion conversing on the same.

DP-1 students reflected on what they learned in TOK so far and how different subjects can be related to TOK. The TOK assembly provided the DP-1 with an insight in to the subject and DP-2 with a practice to further improve their TOK skills.
