Group 4 project is a Science project which gives the DP students an opportunity to combine all the Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science and Environmental Sciences and Societies under an umbrella topic, which for this year was: "Road Safety". DP-1 students were divided into groups where students who have opted for different science subjects came together to innovate and create something effective under the umbrella topic by choosing a particular field under it. It was a process of 3 phases: The Introductory Orientation, the planning, and the execution in the form of an exhibition.
On 28th February, the Group 4 project culminated with an exhibition of the evaluation phase. It was a pleasure to see the students of the Diploma Programme 2016-18 at Choithram International present their findings on the global issue of Road Safety to mark the Science Day. These young scientists identified several problems related to safety on roads and presented realistic solutions ranging from designing of road infrastructure, technologically innovative cars, models using bio fuel and sensitizing people about how to reduce their carbon footprint by choosing pollution free means of transport. Students also made the visitors aware of their Safety Quotient and how they could contribute to safer roads.

The students feel more connected to their surroundings after taking part in the Group 4 project and they shared their desire to continue doing their part to bring a change in the world.
