The heart of the IB Diploma programme comprises of the CORE components, Extended essay being one of them. It gives the young inquirers an opportunity to find answers to most intriguing questions in the area of their interest related to one of the student’s six DP subjects. Based on research, the extended essay is an independent work presented by the student to the IB in 4000 words and provides practical preparation for undergraduate research. At Choithram International we plan the journey of Extended Essay in such a manner that the students not only enjoy their research work but also reap great benefits out of it. Over the years, we have improved our planning and support extended for EE by constantly encouraging students to present their findings in their own words taking care to avoid plagiarism. The past years have seen good and consistent results in extended essays and we strive to continue this achievement.
